The Veil of Maya 6 brings together two distinct projects, each discovered amidst the bustling flea markets of Thailand. The first project unveils a collection of enigmatic photocopies, revealing fragments of an ancient palm-leaf manuscript delving into the realms of sexuality and eroticism. Presumed to have originated in the 19th century, this cryptic manuscript is steeped in mystique, believed by some to hold sacred insights into the art of fortune telling. The second series, equally intriguing, comprises 36 “white book” covers, remnants of illicit erotic novels clandestinely circulated on the black market of the 1960s.
